2025 All-Region Honors Highlight ICCAC Division II Women's Soccer Season
The 2025 All-Region and special awards for Division II Women's Soccer were released after another competitive season of competition in the ICCAC. The level of play continued to rise in 2025 in a league that featured three teams inside the NJCAA top 20.
Iowa Lakes finished at the top of the conference for its first-ever regular season championship, earning four First Team All-Region selections.
Running down the right wing, Ana Zamorano led the Lakers in scoring with seven goals and four assists, earning a spot on the First Team All-Region.
Joining Zamorano on the First Team were teammates Stina Matthews and Amelie Prie, who commanded the field from their positions. Matthews, playing in the center of the park, was an offensive weapon with nine assists and five goals. Prie was strong at center back and contributed offensively with five goals and two assists. The Lakers were formidable defensively and allowed just 14 goals in 18 games, through the district championship.
Finishing the First Team selections for Iowa Lakes was goalkeeper Holly Poole, one of the most dominant in the conference. She earned nine shutouts this season with an .836 save percentage, allowing only four goals in conference play. Poole and the Laker defense have allowed just one goal in the last seven games, which includes three postseason contests.
Northeast placed second in the conference standings, putting three Hawks on the First Team All-Region list.
Leading the way from the front, Emma Brilleman was named to the First Team All-Region in her first year with the Hawks after scoring nine goals and collecting eight assists.
Both in the midfield, Addison Osika and Malana Gurmendi earned First Team All-Region honors for Northeast. Osika had four goals and three assists, while Gurmendi added five goals and three assists.
Iowa Central and Hawkeye each had two selections on the First Team All-Region.
For the Tritons, McKenna Hilton was named ICCAC Division II Women's Soccer Player of the Year. Hilton played at forward all season and was second in the conference in both goals (11) and points (29).
Sydney Hagen joined Hilton on the First Team All-Region after a playmaking season up front, ranking second in the league with 10 assists while also scoring six goals.
Hawkeye's first-team selections were Jil Lehmann and Johanna Norrenbrock. Lehmann was the team's leading scorer and tied for second in the conference with 11 goals, while Norrenbrock commanded the midfield with five goals and three assists.
Three players from three different teams rounded out the First Team All-Region selections: Erin Harris from Central, Nadia Kaiser from NIACC and Anggy Villena from Western Iowa Tech.
To close out the awards, Iowa Lakes' coach Mukwa Ogitchida was named the 2025 ICCAC Coach of the Year. In his first year with the Lakers, Ogitchida led the team to a Region 11 Championship, placing first in the standings and winning the Region 11 Tournament.
